having a well earned lunch

A very diverse Transition Year programme is in operation and all students are expected to participate in it.
During this year students will spend a week in an adventure centre, participate in mounting a musical production, spend two/three weeks doing work experience, undertake community work, learn about social issues from visiting speakers, engage in film studies, have the opportunity to obtain a computer qualification, visit sites of interest in and around Dublin, go on hikes, experiment with new ideas and techniques in both Art and Science as well as consolidate their previous learning in many subjects
.

Students will undertake several projects to improve their abilities in self-directed learning.
They will also have the opportunity to participate in the President’s Gaisce Award scheme and obtain medals for their endeavours.

A certificate is awarded to all students who contribute positively, complete all aspects of the programme and have satisfactory attendance.
