JUNIOR CERTIFICATE SUBJECTS

Students normally enter Form one upon completion of Primary education at 12 years of age. The junior cycle lasts three years and the students sit the Junior Certificate examination at the end of third year.

Junior Certificate:

All students take the following core subjects:

English, Gaeilge, Maths, CSPE, French, Geography, History, Science, SPHE, Physical Education, Choir and Religious Education,

In addition, students may choose from the following subjects, which are all included in the first term. During December2011 form 1 students will be asked to select one subject from each of the options below. :

Option 1 Art or Home Economics
Option 2 Business or Music
