HOMEWORK

Learning is the most important activity in our school. Homework is a necessary support for learning. If you do not complete/present your best attempt at homework, these are the consequences that will follow:

Stage 1:
If you do not present homework, the class teacher will put a 'homework note' in your school journal for your parents/guardians to sign.

If you receive
four 'homework notes' in a four week period, you will be placed on 'homework report' by your form teacher for one week. This report will be reviewed at the end of the week and may be extended if necessary.

A
communication will be sent to your parents / guardians and the 'Homework Report' noted on your next School report.

Stage 2:
Following stage 1, the next time you do not present homework, you will be given a
'homework note' in your school journal and punishment work to complete. If you do not complete the punishment work your parents/guardians will be called to the school to meet with your Form Teacher and a member of Senior Management.

If you receive a second
four 'homework notes' in a four week period, you will be placed on 'Homework Report' for by your form teacher for two weeks. This report will be reviewed at the end of each week and may be extended if necessary.

An appointment will also be made for you with the
Guidance Counsellor to discuss the matter.

A
letter or email will be sent to your parents / guardians and the Homework Report noted on your next school report.

Stage 3:
If you continue not to present homework, you will be required to
write a letter to the Principal explaining your lack of work.

You will be given a
two hour detention on a given Wednesday afternoon, in which to make up the missed work.

You will be required to
sign a new commitment to the Grammar School.

Your
parents / guardians and you will be called to a meeting with the Principal.
